Shakespeare and Blurple Treasuries

I haven't been able to snag treasuries recently and I've been neglecting Trove Thursday, but I had a pleasant surprise to find that I'm in two treasuries. That definitely helped my crummy week/month. :)

First up is this really really awesome Shakespeare treasury by my FAEteam teammate ToadstoolsNTreestump:

I think this treasury is just the coolest! I adore Shakespeare (someday soon I'm going to go to grad school to get my Masters in early Brit Lit, and I hope to be a professor of Renaissance lit someday), and I think it's so awesome that a lot of the stuff in the treasury is "The Tempest"-related; that's my favorite Shakespeare play (as you could probably guess from the fact that my Caliban doll is in said treasury, lol). :)

If you're reading this post before 8:30am Monday morning (the 1st), you can click here to see the treasury live before it expires. If you're catching this post after that, just click the image to view it larger, then you can type the names in grey under the images into your browser's address bar and add ".etsy.com" (so I'd be merigreenleaf.etsy.com) to be taken to the artist's shop.

The second treasury I'm in is this pretty Blurple (blue/purple and pink) one by my Createability teammate cindylouwho2:

The colors in this are so eye-catching!

This one you can find here on Etsy until it expires at 4:30am Tuesday morning (the 2nd). If you're catching this post after that, click the image and follow the instructions I posted above. :)

Thanks so much for including me in these lovely treasuries! :D

Delayed art update- bracers, chainmaille, and jewelry

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. This has been an awful month between family issues (I lost both my grandfather and an aunt) and my health (stress making me sicker and I pulled muscles in my sides so I haven't been able to craft for over a week). I even had to stop doing the Ravelympics because I wasn't up to crocheting. :( Luckily I finished one event, but I haven't had a chance to start the doll I wanted to make or finish the laptop bag. Here's to hoping March is a much better month!

I did finish a few art things this month, though:

First up is this chainmaille circlet for the EarthPath Artisans "Midwinter" challenge (psst! You have another 12 hours to go vote on that!).
Blue, Silver, and Gold Chainmaille Circlet - Midwinter Skies

I tried to think of something besides snow and ice to use for "Midwinter", but since I live on the east coast and we've had snow on the ground for months, snow and ice is what it ended up as (amusingly enough, I needed an extension on this challenge because I was snowed in away from my supplies). The blue rings are for the sky and the silver ones represent snow and ice. The gold colored rings in the center and the yellow beads represent the sun, though, to show that the wheel of the year will turn and the days will start to lengthen. The sun always seems to be the brightest when the world is covered in snow.

This chainmaille circlet is made from bright aluminum (the silver color) and anodized aluminum rings in blue and yellow. Dangling from this circlet are five groups of beads (mostly acrylic, although the center one may be glass). This is here on Etsy and here on Artfire.

I made this chainmaille anklet for the Artisan Beaders Street Team's "Look of Love" challenge (you can see what my teammates came up with here. This wasn't a voting challenge, just something to inspire us).
Red and Pink Chainmaille Anklet- Look of Love

This anklet is made from bright aluminum (the silver color) and red and pink anodized aluminum rings, and closes with a lobster clasp. Dangling from each of the points are are small red and clear acrylic beads, and a larger pink (with black stripes) round acrylic bead. I really like this style, so I'll have to make more in other colors. It's here on Etsy and here on Artfire.

Next are the bracers I made for the EtsyHookers "Variegated Yarn" challenge:
Crocheted Camouflage Wood Elf Bracers

This pair of bracers are crocheted from camouflage tan/green/brown/black acrylic yarn and the lacing is a velvety olive green ribbon. These can be found here on Etsy and here on Artfire.

The last thing I listed recently is this cartilage earring:
Hot Pink and Black Cartilage Chain Earring

I actually made this a few months ago, but completely forgot that I hadn't listed it yet. It's here on Etsy and here on Artfire.

And for a random piece of jewelry, I made this bracelet as a birthday present for my godmother:
Blue and green bracelet

It's glass and plastic beads on an elastic cord. It's so much prettier than it looks in that photo; I love those colors!

Can you guys go vote for another challenge?

Yup, I'm in another challenge and we need votes. My "Midwinter Skies" circlet is in the EarthPath Artisans' "Midwinter" challenge.

It's this circlet:
Blue, Silver, and Gold Chainmaille Circlet - Midwinter Skies

Blue, Silver, and Gold Chainmaille Circlet - Midwinter Skies

I'll be blogging more about it a bit later in my next art update. Can you guys go to the EAST team blog here, look at the six pieces of art entered into the challenge, then go vote in the poll on the right hand side of the blog?

You don't have to vote for me, just your favorite. :) Thanks, guys!

I have a laptop now! :D

I feel really bad that I haven't been able to do the Ravelympics for a few days because I was looking forward to it- I'm hoping to do a bit more before the Olympics are over, but I'm still sore and don't really want to crochet and make it worse, and I'm just worn out from the past week and my grandfather's funeral. Basically I've just been reading, playing Zelda, and watching said Olympics.

In my next post I'll share what I've made lately, but right now I wanted to post about Goldberry. No, not the LotR character- my new laptop:

Josh got the laptop in a trade for two cases of beer, then did his technology magic and made it run all nicely for me. :) It's about eight years old and was a bit scratched up, so for Valentine's Day he got me a skin/sticker for it. It's green and leafy! :D He also gave me his mouse because using the touchpad was driving me nuts (I wonder if I can get a green decal for the mouse?), and got me a new battery for it because the old one only held a charge for about 45 minutes.

It's named Goldberry because my stuff always gets LotR names (well, except my iPod; that's named after Link). My car is Celebrian (my old car was Frodo), my desktop computer is Radagast, and something to do with my computers (network maybe?) is Isengard. If my cat hadn't come with a cute name, she probably would have gotten one, too, lol. ...And I'm kinda surprised that nothing has gotten a Mirkwoody name yet, although I suppose Radagast is close since he lived near there.

Eventually I'll get that laptop case/bag finished and I'll have to crochet water lilies or something to sew on it to match the laptop's name. I'd also like to add more greens or blues to the inside of the laptop, too, but I hadn't thought of how to do that yet.

Josh also gave me flowers! :D

I love roses and these are really pretty!

And since I'm geeking out over here, I wanted to share a picture of the wood elf type doll I got in a trade with my friend Donna (although it was made by her sister Judy) of Threads of Magique:

He's so adorable! He arrived Saturday and put a big smile on my face right when I needed it. :) He's currently living on my desk under my little fake Christmas tree that I think I'm going to leave up year round because it adds green to my desk.

LotR Read-Along- Following the Hobbits

I somehow managed to injure my sides (at least I hope it's just pulled muscles), so I haven't been able to crochet much for a few days. The good thing about that is that I've been able to read more. :)

I'm about 1/2 of the way through The Fellowship of the Ring now; the hobbits are talking to Strider and they're wondering where Merry is. The first time I experienced this book was when I was a kid (maybe 8?) when my dad read it to me; for some reason he never read me TTT or RotK, so I didn't get to reading those until high school (I'm not sure why it took me so long to read them). My dad has an awesome box set of the books from the 60's or 70's, so this is what my first look at this book was:

And now onto the questions! These come from this month's host of the read-along. :)
If you’ve been with us since the beginning, how do you feel about the narrator compared to the narrator in The Hobbit?
Honestly, the narrator isn't something I particularly notice in a book; when I read, the main thing I enjoy and concentrate on are the characters, followed by the plot. I guess this narrator is somewhat less funny, though.

How’s your pace going? Is it smooth sailing or have you found passages that are difficult to get through?
Smooth sailing, although I admit to taking my time with this series. I can't rush my favorite books and speed through them, like how I normally read.

If you’ve read this series before, is The Fellowship of the Ring, for the most part, as you remembered? If not, is it what you expected or something else?
It's been a few years since I've read this book last (and I'd seen the movies more recently) so there was a lot I'd forgotten about. For one thing, I'd forgotten just how smart Merry is! He figures out about the ring before anyone else (and he's the only one who discovers it), he's seen Bilbo's book, he figures out that Frodo is leaving and plans their leaving Buckland, somehow he seems to know the most about the Barrow-Wights, and if I remember right, he also figures out how to open the door to Moria. No wonder he's always been my favorite character (and why I've had a crush on him since I was a kid! I love smart, funny guys, and Merry's also got goofiness going for him). I can't believe I forgot! So basically as I'm reading this, my crush on that particular hobbit is coming out again. ;)

Are you using any of the extra features- maps and indexes, for instance- in your book?
I'm following the hobbits with the map in the front of my book, but the map isn't very detailed (and you can't see anything in the center because of the binding), so I think I'm going to have to find a better map online and print it out. I have a huge wall poster of Middle Earth, but it's in storage.

So far my favorite quotes are Merry's "You don't allow for the inquisitiveness of friends" to Frodo and the scene with Frodo and the elf Gildor:
"That Gandalf should be late, does not bode well. But it is said: Do not meddle in the affairs of Wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger. The choice is yours: to go or wait."
"And it is also said," answered Frodo: "Go not to the elves for counsel, for they will say both no and yes."
"Is it indeed?" laughed Gildor. "Elves seldom give unguarded advice, for advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill."

I wish Gildor had been a main character- I really like that elf!

I'm so glad I found this read-along. I just love these books so much, so I'm glad I have a good excuse to read them again! ;)

Ravelympics 2010, Days 4 and 5

I'm still upset (see previous post), but I'm trying to busy myself with normal things, so I'm still doing the Ravelympics. Unfortunately, my sides have been hurting (I think I pulled muscles while exercising), and crocheting is making that hurt more, so I'll likely not be doing much for the next few days. I'd get my personal mascot or my sidekick to help, but neither a stuffed raven or a cat have fingers. Alas! Next time I'll have to pick out more useful helpers. ;)

Day 4 (Part 2)
Ravelympics Day 4

In the last Ravelympics post I shared the faun ears I made (those are the tan and brown things in the front/top), but I also finished another hexagon (the orange and green one) and started the 6th (the pink and blue one). I'm getting there!

As usual, my personal mascot Quoth looks on, but this time he's joined by my sidekick Clara, who couldn't resist all the dangling yarn ends.

And since I finished those ears for the Hat Halfpipe, that means I got a medal!

I'm wondering if I should stick the medals from this year and 2008 in my blog sidebar somewhere...

Day 5
Didn't get much done this day at all; I was too sore.
Ravelympics Day 5

I only finished the pink and blue hexagon yesterday. ...Which came out smaller than the rest, for some reason; I may need to add an extra row later. Maybe the yarn is slightly thinner? It's all the same weight but I'm sure there's some variation there.

We'll miss you, Poppop

(Poppop with me and my sister a few Christmases ago.)

My grandfather passed away last night. He'd been really really sick for a while so I was kind of prepared, but I really don't think it's hit me yet. I'm just trying to do things normal right now, and I want to stay calm for my grandmother. I'm really worried about her- I'm afraid she's going to have another stroke if she gets too worked up. My mom is planning on fixing up her apartment downstairs so it doesn't remind her of Poppop, and I think that will help. And we're (my mom, dad, me, and my sister) are all here for her.

The last thing he ate (he hadn't been able to eat or drink anything in over a day) was a brownie that my sister made for Valentine's Day- that really made his day (he's always loved desserts) and he asked if she'd be his valentine. I'm glad that she was able to do something to make him feel a little bit better at the end. :)

Like I said, it still hasn't really hit me, but I figured I should mention it now before I become too upset to write about it. If I'm out of it for a while, you'll know why.

We'll miss you, Poppop- may you always have a comfy chair, lots of desserts and crabs and yummy foods, and your favorite soaps and episodes of Bonanza on tv.

Ravelympics 2010, Day 3 (And check out this giveaway!)

Day 3
Ravelympics Day 3

Yup, switched projects. I took a break from making hexagons for the laptop case and worked on the faun/satyr ears for the Hat Halfpipe. They look kind of silly because they're going to be folded and not attached flat like that.

Day 4 (Part 1)
I finished these early today and will blog more of what I worked on in the usual time tomorrow (usually I blog things a day later).
Crocheted Faun/Satyr or Centaur Ears

These are actually for the EtsyFAST February "Mythology" challenge. :) They're here in my Etsy shop and here on Artfire. I'm eventually going to be making horns to go with them, but I haven't gotten to that yet (will do that after the Ravelympics). I'm just proud that this idea worked- now I can make elf/orc, goblin, halfling, and now these faun/satyr/centaur ears. :D

I also wanted to share that my talented teammates of Threads of Magique are doing a giveaway for a custom doll. I LOVE their dolls, so I'm hoping I win this. ;) You guys should go check it out here on their blog and you can find them here on Etsy. :)

Ravelympics 2010, Day 2

Day 2
In normal Olympics talk, I'm loving watching the games! I thought the women's moguls was awesome- those jumps and twists look so much fun! And the crash with the Korean short track skaters was unfortunate, but hey, it allowed the two American skaters to sneak into second and third place. That's good! My sister joked "It's just like Americans to win by accident", lol.

I'm sure you guys are going to get tired of me blogging everyday about the Ravelympics, but it's keeping me motivated, so I hope you don't mind too much. :) Here's what I have as of the end of Day 2:
Ravelympics Day 2

Yup, I didn't start working on the ears- instead I made some more hexagons. Now I have four (and a bit) of the 17 for my laptop bag crocheted. :) I'm afraid these are too large and will make the laptop bag too big, but I suppose if it is too large, that's not a problem; then I'll be able to fit the cord and my mouse in the bag.

I'm starting to feel jealous of people who started small projects first and are already getting medals, so I'm wondering if I should switch to the satyr ears I want to crochet; those I could finish in two days, whereas this laptop bag is going to take forever.

And Josh is going to get his doll late; I wanted to finish it for Valentine's Day, but he still hasn't done me a drawing of the character yet. Ah well. And speaking of, Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! May your day be filled with a loved one and chocolate; and if you don't have a special someone, let it be filled with friends and more chocolate. :)

Ravelympics 2010, Day 1 (& Opening Ceremony)

Opening Ceremony
Can I just say how much I LOVED the opening ceremony of the Olympics? It had punk fiddlers and tap dancers!!! You might not know this, but I know how to tap dance (and want to pick it up again someday), and Celtic rock is my favorite genre of music- it reminded me of Enter the Haggis, my favorite band. :D It's like that part of the ceremony was specifically designed for me, lol!

On the fiber side, I was ready to go exactly when it started (but got the picture a minute late).
Opening of the Ravelympics

You can see the opening of the opening ceremony on tv, I have the Ravelympics group open on my laptop, and you can see the pattern I'll be using first and some yarn. I was also wearing my Ravelry "A Daily Dose of Fiber" tshirt, but didn't get a picture of that.

And if I take a step backwards you can see my helper (coach? Sidekick? Teammate?)...
Opening of the Ravelympics

Yup, that's Clarabell, already excited that it's the Ravelympics. She knows that means it's time for yarn and curling up on my lap for hours on end; her favorite things!

Day 1
This is what I've finished so far for Day 1- a hexagon and a half for the laptop case I'm making. :) Yup, I decided 45 minutes before the Olympics started that I was changing the design idea for the bag- luckily I'm still doing the same event! I told my dad that I felt like someone running back and forth at the Olympics all crazy-like going "Wait! I don't want to ski! I want to skate! Where are my skates!" LOL!
Ravelympics Day 1

Quoth (the raven) is looking on because I'm on Team Bad Ass Artificers (the Ankh-Morpork Knitter's Guild). He's like my personal mascot (you know, because my Ravatar is a picture of me in my Susan costume).

I think today I may start working on my ears for the Hat Halfpipe event because my hand is sore (bah on this weather), and that one's a lot less repetitive than these hexagons. And I feel like I've caught something, so that doesn't help! I can't be sick for the Ravelympics! Gotta do well for my team. :D

LotR Read-Along- Roads go ever on and on

I'm still behind with this challenge- I just finished The Hobbit yesterday and this month is the month of Fellowship of the Ring (so expect a FotR post sometime in the next few days).

I'll admit that probably the main reason I took so long to finish The Hobbit is because I wanted to savor it- it's one of my very favorite books.

January's blog host for the Read-Along gave us some questions for the final half of the book, so I'll answer those rather than doing a regular book review (I have a feeling a book review would just sound something like "I LOVE THIS BOOK", lol).

Did you find the book’s second half consistent to the first, in tone, plotting, etc.?
There is a lot more action in the second half of the book than the first, and I will admit that I wish the book had been longer because it seems like the action is over far too quickly. I love this book, so of course I wanted it longer, but the battle and everything at the end was too rushed.

What did you think of the ending?
I'm glad that the dwarves eventually come to their senses and come to the aid of the good guys. That's probably why dwarves are my least favorite (good-aligned) fantasy race; they're so materialistic and greedy! I just can't bring myself to particularly like characters like that. It's always sad reading about how the two dwarves I do like don't survive the Battle of Five Armies, though. :(

Did your view of any character change since our last check-in?
Well, I always start to like Thorin and most of the older dwarves less (with the exception of Balin- he's pretty cool for an old dwarf) when I see how greedy and mean to Bilbo they become near the end. I just can never understand dwarves.

I suppose Thranduil (the Elvenking) isn't much better in that respect; he's far too grumpy and into shinies (and wine), which is rather strange for an elf. He's still my favorite minor character, though, maybe because he does have faults (and that's rare for an elf), but he's a good king and protective of his forest and people. Plus I have a soft spot for wood elves, of course, and that includes their leader even though he isn't technically a wood elf.

My respect for Bilbo definitely increased as the book went on; I'd forgotten just how much character growth he goes through and how wise he becomes. (And he sticks by the Elvenking during the battle; granted he stays invisible, but that ups my respect for Bilbo since that's where I would have picked for my last stand, as well.)

What surprised you most in this half of the book?
Just how competent Bilbo becomes. I've read the book many times, but this always comes as a bit of a surprise.

What delighted you most?
I just love the scene when the dwarves and Bilbo escape from the wood elves in barrels; I love how the youngest dwarves pretty much come out of it going "Wee! That was fun!" .... well, that and complaining about the smell of apples, lol.

My favorite quote has to be what Thorin told Bilbo near the end:
"There is more in you of good than you know, child of the kindly West. Some courage and some wisdom, blended in measure. If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world."

I also liked the section about wood elves and how they are different from high elves, but "still elves they are and remain, and that is Good People".

Can you see yourself rereading The Hobbit some day?
Of course! I reread it fairly often- I have to be up to almost a dozen times over the past two decades.

Are you planning on continuing on to The Fellowship of the Ring?
Yup! I already started rereading it and am up to where Gandalf is explaining about the One Ring and Gollum to Frodo (and Sam is eavesdropping).

Would you say that doing a group read enriched your reading? Anything in particular written by a fellow participant that stands out?
I enjoy reading what everyone else has to say about the books- I love LotR, so it's cool to hear what everyone else thinks about it and who their favorite character and what their favorites scenes are.

Treasury love!

I had a pleasant surprise this morning- I saw that I'm in two awesome treasuries! :D

The first is about movies from the past decade- I'm honored to have my hobbit ears among such awesome movie items like Shrek, Pirates of the Caribbean, and there's another LotR item in there, as well. How cool is that!

If you're reading this before 1:30pm Saturday (the 13th), you can view the treasury here. If you caught this post after that, just click the image to view it fullsize, then you can get to the shops by typing in the username (the name in grey under the item) then ".etsy.com", like I'd be merigreenleaf.etsy.com.

The other treasury I'm in is another awesome one by BlessedBeadJewelry, based on the "Turning of the Wheel" challenge:

If you're viewing this post before 2am Sunday morning (the 14th), you can find this treasury here. If not, click it to view it larger.

Almost time for the Ravelympics again!

You might remember that I took part in the Ravelympics in 2008 during the summer Olympics. Well, it's time for the winter Olympics, and Ravelry is doing it again- hooray! I'm back on the same team, only we've got a new name:

Yup, the Ankh-Morpork Knitter's [sic- I think we follow the Carrot Wanton Cruelty To The Common Commavareity, of writing,] Guild is "Team Bad Ass Artificers" this time around; Bad Ass being a town in the Ramtops on the Disc (named after a particularly stubborn donkey), rather than some random cussing.

In preparation, I've dusted off the avatar of my Susan Sto Helit cosplay (What? Anything Discworld is going to involve me as Susan. It's a requirement. I even went to a book signing in costume), and I tagged some projects.
As of now, these are my events:
Hat Halfpipe- I'll be crocheting another pair of costume ears, hopefully the faun/satyr ones I've been bouncing around in my head for a few months.

Skelegurumi- No, not skeletons (although I did crochet a Death plushie during the last Ravelympics, lol). I'll be crocheting a Heathen D Pistolwhip (the kobold salesman from Josh's webcomic) doll for said fiancé for Valentine's Day. He'll get it late, though, because he still hasn't drawn me a detailed (and colored in) drawing of this character. I'm hoping if I make him another "Goblins Like These" plushie, Josh'll start updating his comic again. ;)

Bag Jump- Something for me: I'll be crocheting a laptop bag for my new (well, used, but new to me) laptop.

I was going to add more, but I figure I can't spin yarn this time because I can only really do it outside (we have very mischievous puppies that would love to catch my spinning toy thing!), so I'm on break from spinning until April or so. I was going to finish two projects I have half done, but I figure I'll have my hands full getting these three projects done, since two of the three are time consuming (and I also have a bunch of challenges for street teams to work on this month).

Unfortunately this year I'm back living with my parents, so I'm hoping I can get control of the tv long enough to watch a bunch of the Olympics. *fingers crossed* Unless there's a way to watch it online? ... There is! Awesome! In that case, I'm set and am looking forward to it. :D

And as I'm posting this, I'm snowed in at my fiance's parents' house, so I'm glad I brought some yarn with me! Who knows how long this blizzard will continue- the area was barely dug out from the storm last weekend before we got hit with this one. Anyone want some snow? I have some words for the wintersmith, mainly involving "go away!". Is four feet of the stuff really necessary?

Talented Tuesday- Scarlet of Scarlet Impressions

Tuesday already? Time for another fun artist interview! This time it's the talented jewelry-maker (and one of my cool Plurk friends) Scarlet. I just love her photography style and her jewelry is lovely! :)

What's your name?
Scarlet Leonard

Where can you be found on the internet? (Website, Twitter, shops, blog, etc)
http://www.scarlet-impressions.com - Main Artfire Store
http://scarletfusion.artfire.com - Second Artfire Store (Graphics)

http://www.handmadenews.org/columnist/index.php?aid=1384

Describe yourself in five words.
Random, Bouncy, Outgoing, Friendly, Helpful.

If you were a color, what would you be?
Pink - it's welcoming, happy, girly and fun.

If you were a "Dungeons and Dragons"/fantasy character or creature, what would you be? (Can be a specific character, or something general like "elven bard", "centaur", etc).
In my RPG days I was always a halfling/hobbit loved playing them. I once had a WHFRP halfling (cook) that became narcissistic and developed anorexia, she lost a leg towards the end trying to control an earth elemental. That was an interesting time.
Shadowrun was an exception I was human (made sure I was only 4'2" though) and always a decker. I ran with a troll that shot up my deck one day literally kicked that guys ass (OOC)

If you could live anywhere (or anywhen), where/when would it be?
Middle Earth, Hobbiton, 4th age.

What is your greatest dream or goal?
My husband and I share a dream of being self sufficient (Chasing the Good Life) We would also like to build our own house with completely handmade/artisan items (he doesn't know that last part about handmade that is mostly my dream.)

What was your very first piece of art? How long have you been an artist?
I used to make friendship bracelets when I was about 8 loved making those and other little craft projects I think I have always had the creative streak though 10 years ago I was introduced to jewellery making and have been addicted since.

If you sell your art, how did you get started?
I started jewellery making by making a few things for myself (hating the current trends) and a friend from work liked them and asked where I got them, I ended up making her a pair then some more pieces for her daughters. My mum got me to do a mini show at her work and I sold a few bits there so I got into going to other local shows.

What is the strangest thing you've ever made?
I have no idea, I asked my husband and he said "There's some meals that come pretty close." I'm not that good a chef!

Pick your favorite project/artwork- what is it and what inspired you on it? If you'd like to share, tell a little about the process you used from inspiration to completion of that project.
My favourite has to be my Autumn Wire Wrapped Pendant. It was my first attempt at a wrap like that and it took me over 3 hours of actual work time on and off over a whole week of puzzling what should go where and how would I do this and that.

I had always had a love for wire wrapping and really wanted to get into it, I had tried easier ideas but not got very far with them, I may have been a little silly to try a more complex idea but I had seen some shapes that I had taken a fancy too and the idea dawned on me.
I made a similar design more recently (Lilac Turquoise Copper Wire Wrapped Pendant)

What kind of advice would you give to other artists?
As artists? - To always believe in themselves and never give up on anything no matter how long it takes you to get there.
As sellers? - Read everything that you can find before embarking on anything, pick the best option for your business goals and always have a plan.

What is your favorite:
Color? Pink
Quote? Sometimes you have to take the leap, and build your wings on the way down
Book? Snow Crash - Neil Stephenson
Character? (book or whatever) Diddl loved that little guy since my first trip to Germany still have a heck of a collection.
TV show and/or movie? Flash Forward
Season? Late Summer
Food? Chocolate (What woman wouldn't say that?)
Animal? I don't pick favourites on fur babies.Though I can't wait until we have the space to keep pigs
Art medium and/or supply? Wire and my glass rods so pretty picking out the colours

I just love her location of choice! Hey, Scarlet- if we ever find ourselves in Middle Earth, expect a Mirkwood elfling to show up at your door for tea. ;)

Tune in next week for another artist interview!
